‘Trump Rooster’ Statue Gaining Popularity

Donald Trump will be a part of the Lunar New Year in China on January 28 in the form of a cartoon rooster statue that looks like him.

The statue is now placed outside a shopping mall in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province in China.

From the hairstyle to the hand gestures, there’s no doubt that the statue resembles the U.S. president-elect. Trump’s inauguration is on January 20, just eight days before the Year of the Rooster starts.

According to reports, the designer said that statue’s egglike shape and golden Trumpian hairstyle signify prosperity.

The sculpture inspired a flood of miniature and inflatable imitations on Taobao, China’s version of eBay.

“It is the Year of (the) Rooster, and Trump is about to take office,” one Taobao vendor said. “We have named it the Inflatable Trump Rooster.”
