The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has banned poultry products from Netherlands in response to the advise of the World Organization for Animal Health. The ban includes importation, and transporting of meat within Saudi Arabia.
Ban on the products will be lifted soon if they have comply with the guidelines set by the World Organization on Animal Health.
Saudi Arabia is the second biggest importer of poultry meat in the world. White meat is the primary choice of the people in Saudi Arabia, which prohibits the eating of pork due to religious issues and beliefs.
Netherlands has been notified by the ban and will undergo series of cleansing to be able to export poultry meat again.
