Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment recalled from the market some poultry products supplied by a local farm in the northern part of the country.
The ministry issued an administrative decision to withdraw some products of Athba Farm as it failed to meet certain specifications.
Athba issued a statement saying that the incident happened due to a human error and because one of its coolers that stored the products was not working. The circular said that the issue was limited only to non-conforming products of the company.
The ministry said on its social media account that it has collected some samples of the company’s poultry products and sent them to specialized laboratories for test. Results of the test showed that the 450-gram Athba chicken products did not conform to the standard specifications.
All other products of the company are available in the market without any problem.
