They call it #KwentongJollibeeValentineSeries, a trio of romantic video ads that debuts last week and has taken the internet by storm since.
The first ad is entitled “Vow.” Directed by Ianco Dela Cruz, it shows how love endures even with sad endings. In the video, a guy finds out that his “JolliBae” only considers him as a “JolliBes.”
Next is “Crush,” which shows how hamburgers can rival love letters and be an effective way of communicating your feelings.
The last video, “Date,” has gotten over 329,000 views on its first day alone. It shows how love conquers all, even death.
Joel Ruiz directed “Crush” while multi-awarded filmmaker Pepe Diokno directed “Date.”
Jollibee Foods Corporation Brand Communications and PR Director Arline Adeva said that Dela Cruz handled all of the company’s previous Kwentong Jollibee videos, but was too busy to make three videos for this year.
“Joel Ruiz was recommended to us and we found his film treatment was very refreshing,” she said. “Meanwhile, Pepe Diokno worked on some of our previous videos. On the whole, it was great working with all of them.”
