Another man died of H7N9 virus on Monday (May 1) in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province.
He adds up to the total of 96 people that are infected with the said virus and left 47 dead in China, according to the national health and family planning commission.
The person’s surname is Zhang and he is from the Xianyang City. He started to show symptoms of the virus in late April and was only tested positive of the virus on May 1 and died on the same day.
The government has announced that medical authorities will inspect and disinfect trading areas and live poultry markets in Xi’an and Xianyang City.
People are advised to observe biosecurity measures as it is seen that the outbreak will continue to hit in China.
