In London, six people who are identified as British-Pakistanis were caught in illegal cockfighting charges. The court later decided to jail the suspects based on evidence.
Authorities found a cockpit with complete seats and facilities for the game fowls with blood stains, which they believe to be from the fighting cocks.
Of the six caught, one is a minor. Trial was held in three days before decision of two weeks in jail were upheld by the court.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Animals welcomed the development, but the suspects denied the speculations and said that they are there to visit their friend.
Cockfighting is banned in England since 1835, but the culture of cockfighting goes on genes to genes, with several people interested in taking care of game fowls for cockfights.
